New PROTOCOLS as of May 2020
Please note that we have new protocols in place to keep our guests, staff and environment safe.
Upon booking your appointment you will be emailed a list of screening questions which must be answered prior to entering the salon.
Your visit to the salon will also look and feel a little different at this time. Please be assured that we are taking every measure to ensure the safety of our guests and staff – but to do this, we need your help. Upon arriving at the salon please wait in your car or outside until your scheduled service time. I will come outside and get you when I am ready for you. Before entering the salon, all guests will have their temperatures taken with a zero-contact, medical grade thermal thermometer. If anyone has a fever or shows signs of illness, they will need to reschedule their appointments and will not be permitted into the salon. Every guest will also be required to sanitize themselves and their phone or other electronic device they wish to bring in with them at the sani-station outside of the salon, and then put on a clean pair of gloves and a clean mask. You may bring your own if they haven’t been previously worn, nor worn on your way to the salon. If you do not have a mask or gloves, we will have them available for purchase.
If you do bring your own mask, please ensure it is the style that goes around the ears, as that is the only style that we will be able to work around. Also note that if you are having colour services done, colours are likely to get on the mask, especially around the ears. For this reason, disposable masks are recommended. We will not be responsible for any damage done to your masks while in the salon.
To further prevent the transmission of COVID-19 all services will now include a wash, and no blow-dryers will be used for the time being. Because of this, we will not be able to offer any services that require the use of a dryer including funky fashion colours. We also will not be offering any services that cannot be done while the guest wears a mask – these will include straight razor shaves, beard trims, etc. My online booking system does not allow me to hide services without deleting them – with the hopes that some of these changes are temporary, I have set these services to “call to schedule”. As soon as I can offer them again, my booking system will allow you to do so. Bang trims and neck cleanups will not be offered at this time due to the time required to disinfect between each person. These complimentary 5-minute services would now require 15 minutes between and simply aren’t feasible.
To limit the number of people in the salon at a time, no one will be permitted to bring guests, children, or pets with them to their appointment; apart from minors or people who require caregivers. We will ask however that the accompanying caregivers wait outside for the duration of the appointment unless absolutely necessary.
We understand that everyone has their own level of comfort and feelings around these unprecedented times, and that our ability to stay open relies upon transmission numbers staying low and compliance with government protocols. For us to stay open, we need our clients to do their part. Please understand our new protocols before entering our establishment, and please respect them during your visit. We are so excited to be able to see you all again and be back to work, and without your cooperation we will be forced to close again.
